Unlike many wineries that prefer French oak, Silver Oak ages its wine exclusively in American oak barrels. This imparts a distinctive character to the wines, featuring notes of coconut, vanilla, and spice, which complement the rich, dark fruit flavors of the Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery is so committed to this style that they own their own cooperage, The Oak Cooperage, ensuring complete control over the quality of their barrels.

The winery has two state-of-the-art facilities: one in Oakville, Napa Valley, and another in Healdsburg, Alexander Valley. Each winery produces a wine from its respective appellation, allowing for a clear expression of the unique terroir of each region.
