Tasting Notes:
From the Winery:
This wine is predominantly Estate grown with 33% derived from our Mee Lane vineyard on the valley floor of Rutherford while 55% is sourced from our hillside vineyard at the winery from blocks 2 & 4. The Merlot and Petit Verdot is sourced from our neighbor down the road in Oakville. The wine was both barrel and tank fermented which aids in creating a multitude of layers of both texture and volume. The aromatic profile complements the palate, yielding a cohesive wine that is truly greater than the sum of its parts.
AROMA: Blackberries, black currant, olallieberry with layers of anise and toasted hazelnuts
FLAVORS: Blackberry compote, cacao, espresso, with toasted pecans and hazelnuts that open to a long finish that is highlighted by notes of brûlée that accentuate its flavor profile.
