Ratings & Tasting Notes:

97 points — James Suckling, October 2024
A super-complex Champagne with chewy tension. Aromas of coffee bean, lemon peel, burnt sugar, chalky minerality, barley candy and tarte tatin. Fine pinprick bubbles carry flavours of lemon leaf, aspirin and Mirabelle plum, with a touch of grapefruit bitterness holding the tension. Zesty yet integrated chewy acidity, medium-bodied, closing toasted.

96 points — International Wine Review, November 2024
A beautiful showing marked by finesse and vibrant character, opening with a mesmerising bouquet of lemon curd and green pear intertwined with orange zest, toasted brioche, crushed almond, and hints of ginger and chalky minerality. Impeccably balanced on the palate, with a lively mousse and refreshing acidity framing rich citrus, orchard fruit and subtle hazelnut. A touch of salinity adds depth, leading to a long, elegant finish with lingering white flowers and flinty undertones. Exceptional complexity now, with further refinement promised.

96 points — Jeb Dunnuck, December 2024
Bright straw-yellow, expressive and layered on the nose with a tropical profile: cantaloupe, peach, fresh pastry, smoky wet stones and orange blossom. Medium- to full-bodied, rounded and ripe but very well detailed, with a soft, chalky texture. A very successful vintage for the house, producing wines that retain a great deal of clarity and detail in a warm year. Drink over the coming twenty years.

96 points — Vinous (Antonio Galloni), August 2025
Bright, fresh and wonderfully articulate, with citrus, floral and light savoury notes throughout. Medium-bodied and gracious, and a fine choice for drinking now — a Dom Pérignon that emphasises freshness and vivacity above all.

Cult Wines International Notes:

Dom Pérignon takes its name from the Benedictine monk who served as cellarer at the Abbey of Hautvillers from 1668, and who spent the rest of his life pursuing what he called the best wine in the world. The modern cuvée follows one rule above all: it is made only from a single harvest, never blended across years, and only in vintages the house judges worthy. Where other prestige cuvées chase richness, the chef de cave here has always sought aromatic finesse, a silky texture and honed elegance. The house has long drawn artists into its orbit, and its Art Series pairs great vintages with contemporary work. For the 2025 year-end season Dom Pérignon invited Takashi Murakami to reimagine two releases: the Vintage 2015 and the Rosé Vintage 2010.

Murakami’s Superflat visual language reframes classical Japanese art through contemporary culture, and here his kawaii smiling flowers bloom across the dark bottle and coffret in a saturated, dreamlike reinterpretation of nature. The wine inside is the standard Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015. 2015 was a year of sharp contrasts, a cold spring giving way to prolonged heat and drought through August. The result is bright, fresh and articulate: lemon curd, green pear, orange zest and white peach over toasted brioche, crushed almond, ginger and chalky minerality, with a lively mousse, saline depth and a long, flinty finish. Drinking beautifully now, with two decades ahead of it.
