Purchase with confidence. All of our wines are selectively sourced and thoroughly inspected for authenticity and signs of poor storage. Accepted bottles are preserved in our climate-controlled cellar until they reach your doorstep. We have no storefront and no walk-in traffic, so nothing is moved or handled between inspection and shipping.
The bottle you see photographed is the bottle you receive (or fundamentally identical when multiple bottles are listed), and our commitment to you is that it arrives as represented. If it doesn’t, we want to hear from you.

In many vintages the Montrachet veers towards opulence, but the 2010 is much more a wine of vibrant, pulsating energy. White orchard fruit, slate, crushed rocks, mint and white pepper open up, but above all else the 2010 truly stands out for its diamond-like translucence and precision. There is some botrytis here, though it is not especially apparent. Closing notes of saline-infused minerality kick the finish into high gear as the wine shows off its captivating personality. “If there is any recent vintage of Montrachet I would mortgage the house for, the 2010 is it.”

Normally lush and opulent, this version is sleek and racy, with clean, focused aromas of acacia, peach, citronella and subtle pineapple. Very pure and vibrant, ending with a long, mouthwatering finish of spice and mineral. Tasted non-blind. Best from 2016 through 2030.

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is the most famous wine estate in the world, and by most measures the greatest. From roughly 28 hectares in Vosne-Romanée and the Côte de Beaune, all of it grand cru, the Domaine makes tiny quantities against limitless demand. Its holding in Le Montrachet is smaller still: a shade under a third of a hectare on the Puligny side of the great white grand cru, planted in 1963. From that fragment come only a few thousand bottles in a generous year, and each is individually numbered on the label. The 2010 was produced in 2,028 bottles. Farming was biodynamic in practice long before the word was fashionable, the fruit picked late and pressed whole-cluster, then raised in French oak.

The individual bottle number has been deliberately masked in our photographs. Every DRC bottle carries a unique serial number, and published images of that number are routinely harvested by fraudsters — both to produce convincing counterfeits and to advertise wine which a fraudulent seller doesn’t possess. Masking this number also protects its eventual owner from similar fraud. The number is fully intact on the label and unobscured on the bottle itself. If requested, unmasked photos can be provided to the buyer after purchase and prior to shipping.
