The 2000 Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Brut Champagne is a celebrated expression of a unique and challenging vintage year. The blend, composed primarily of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with a small amount of Meunier, spent over a decade on its lees, which gives it a remarkable complexity and rich texture. On the nose, it offers an aromatic bouquet of ripe orchard fruits, dried apricots, and hints of toasted brioche and honey. On the palate, it is full-bodied and layered with flavors of baked apple and citrus, all underpinned by a fine, persistent effervescence. This vintage is known for its graceful maturity, retaining a beautiful energy and depth despite its age. It’s considered an excellent choice for pairing with rich dishes and is highly regarded by both critics and collectors.
