Cult Wines International Notes:

Taittinger Collection Series: A Fusion of Art and Champagne

The Taittinger Collection Series, a visionary initiative by Claude Taittinger, seamlessly merges the art of winemaking with the creative genius of renowned artists. Inspired by his deep appreciation for modern art, Taittinger began commissioning artists to design limited-edition bottles in 1983.

This pioneering series features the works of esteemed artists such as André Masson, Robert Rauschenberg, and Amadou Sow, creating a unique and enduring legacy that connects Champagne Taittinger with the world of contemporary art.

Produced exclusively in exceptional vintages, the Collection Series showcases the finest cuvées, crafted from Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne. The wines undergo meticulous production, including extended aging on the lees for a minimum of five years, resulting in exquisite Champagne with fine, persistent bubbles.

The 1985 Collection Series bottle features the iconic artwork of Roy Lichtenstein, a celebrated Pop Art master renowned for his vibrant interpretations of comic book imagery.
