Purchase with confidence. All of our wines are selectively sourced and thoroughly inspected for authenticity and signs of poor storage. Accepted bottles are preserved in our climate-controlled cellar until they reach your doorstep. We have no storefront and no walk-in traffic, so nothing is moved or handled between inspection and shipping.
The bottle you see photographed is the bottle you receive (or fundamentally identical when multiple bottles are listed), and our commitment to you is that it arrives as represented. If it doesn’t, we want to hear from you.

Champagne Philippe Gonet is based in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, the Côte des Blancs Grand Cru village that is also home to Salon and to Krug’s Clos du Mesnil. The Gonet family has tended vines in Champagne for seven generations, since at least 1830, and settled in Le Mesnil in 1910. Philippe Gonet founded the house under his own name in 1972, and today his children Pierre and Chantal lead the estate, farming about 20 hectares across dozens of parcels, two-thirds of them Chardonnay.
Le Mesnil’s chalk runs deep, in places as much as 40 meters, and gives its Chardonnay the piercing minerality, tension and longevity that have made Salon, from the very same village, one of the most coveted Champagnes in the world. Roy Soleil is a Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs from a single cru, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger itself, with about 30% reserve wines, a portion raised in 600-liter barrels and a low dosage of around 5 grams per liter. It shows toasty, mentholated aromas, very fine bubbles and a creamy texture. Gault&Millau awarded 91 points.
