Cult Wines International Notes:
Established in 1870, Château Piada is a family-owned estate located in the Barsac appellation of Bordeaux, France. The vineyard spans approximately 11 hectares, primarily planted with Sémillon grapes, complemented by Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle. The estate is renowned for producing sweet white wines characterized by their rich gold color and complex aromas of apricot, honey, and nuts. These wines are crafted through meticulous selection of grapes affected by noble rot (Botrytis cinerea), followed by fermentation and aging in French oak barrels. Château Piada’s Sauternes pairs exceptionally well with foie gras, poultry, and desserts, offering a harmonious balance of sweetness and acidity.
