Purchase with confidence. All of our wines are selectively sourced and thoroughly inspected for authenticity and signs of poor storage. Accepted bottles are preserved in our climate-controlled cellar until they reach your doorstep. We have no storefront and no walk-in traffic, so nothing is moved or handled between inspection and shipping.
The bottle you see photographed is the bottle you receive (or fundamentally identical when multiple bottles are listed), and our commitment to you is that it arrives as represented. If it doesn’t, we want to hear from you.

This is an excellent 1993 Chambertin Clos de Beze from Groffier. It has a lovely nose of cranberry, pomegranate and a touch of blackcurrant, a bouquet that floats airily from the glass and is instantly entrancing. The palate is Groffier’s signature style with a firm bold structure, perhaps a touch of residual oak that has never been fully assimilated and just a touch of bitterness on the finish. The aromatics are more appealing than the palate, though this remains a fine and bold Clos de Beze. (NM) (10/2014)
