Accepted bottles are preserved in our climate-controlled cellar until they reach your doorstep. We have no storefront and no walk-in traffic, so nothing is moved or handled between inspection and shipping.

Founded in 1692, Taylor Fladgate is one of the oldest and most respected of the great Port houses, renowned for its vintage Ports and for an extraordinary reserve of aged tawnies. Its Very Old Single Harvest series offers a rare chance to taste a single year’s wine after some fifty years in seasoned oak casks, released in limited quantities in the house’s distinctive frosted bottle.
The 1966 growing season brought a wet, mild winter followed by a very hot, dry summer, including a record-hot May, and the year was widely declared for vintage Port. After decades in cask, this Single Harvest has developed a golden mahogany color with an olive-green rim and aromas of walnut, macadamia, brown sugar, molasses and caramel. The palate is smooth and honeyed, with figs, mocha, spice and candied apricot, lifted by lively acidity and a long finish. Wine Spectator rated it 96 points. A superb gift for a 1966 birthday or anniversary, and ready to enjoy now.
