Fresh Amalfi lemons, pear skins, apples, rhubarb and hints of anise on the nose. Excellent depth and flavor concentration here, with a medium body and creamy bubbles. Fruit and spice deliciously integrated. (CN)

The NV Champagne Brut Reserve release is equal parts Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier, with 25% reserve wine (3-4 years of wines), and it’s based on the 2020 harvest. A bright pale silver/yellow hue, it opens to fresh and fruity notes of graham cracker, ripe pear, fresh flowers, and wet stones. Medium-bodied and inviting, it’s a perfect aperitif, with a fresh and fruity note, a lively mousse, and a clean finish. Lovely, fruity, and refreshing, it can also be enjoyed at the end of a meal. Drink it over the next several years. Disgorged April 2024. 8 grams per liter dosage. (AF)

Bright and open-knit, with a lively, chalky mousse. Oyster shell and smoke hints underscore flavors of poached apricot, Gala apple, lemon curd and ground ginger. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. (AN)
Cult Wines International Notes:
The Pol Roger Brut Réserve is the flagship non-vintage Champagne (often affectionately nicknamed “White Foil”) from the prestigious, family-owned Maison Pol Roger. It stands as a benchmark for quality in the category, renowned for its impeccable balance, richness, and extremely fine bubbles (mousse), a hallmark often attributed to the house’s notably deep and cool cellars in Épernay.
The blend is an exercise in harmony, composed of the three primary Champagne grape varieties in roughly equal proportions (one-third each of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier), sourced from over 30 different crus (villages). A significant portion, typically , consists of reserve wines to ensure consistency in style across every batch.
The wine is aged on the lees for a minimum of four years—far exceeding the legal requirement of 15 months for non-vintage Champagne—which contributes greatly to its complexity and depth. The Brut Réserve presents a golden straw hue and releases persistent, fine bubbles. On the nose and palate, it offers a powerful yet elegant mix of primary fruit aromas, such as pear, apple, and mango, evolving into complex secondary notes of brioche, vanilla, honeysuckle, and warm toast. It finishes with refreshing acidity, structure, and a lingering, dry harmony, making it supremely versatile as both an aperitif and a food pairing wine.
