Tenuta Sette Ponti is owned by the Moretti family, based in Castiglion Fibocchi near Arezzo in Tuscany. Oreno was first created in 1999, making this 2000 release just the second vintage ever produced of what would go on to become one of Tuscany’s most celebrated modern Super Tuscan blends. Built as a Bordeaux-style blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sangiovese, Oreno quickly established a reputation for combining old-world elegance with the richness and polish of top-tier international winemaking.

2000 is widely regarded as an excellent, solar-driven vintage across the Tuscan coast, with warm, dry conditions producing wines of real ripeness and concentration. As one of Oreno’s earliest releases, this bottle offers a genuinely rare glimpse into the formative years of a wine that would go on to become a benchmark modern Super Tuscan, still highly sought after by collectors today, over two decades after this vintage was made.
