Our Provenance Guarantee
Purchase with confidence. All of our wines are selectively sourced and thoroughly inspected for authenticity and signs of poor storage. Accepted bottles are preserved in our climate-controlled cellar until they reach your doorstep. We have no storefront and no walk-in traffic, so nothing is moved or handled between inspection and shipping.
The bottle you see photographed is the bottle you receive (or fundamentally identical when multiple bottles are listed), and our commitment to you is that it arrives as represented. If it doesn’t, we want to hear from you.

Ratings & Tasting Notes:
100 points — Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
An outstanding wine of precise, harmonious winemaking and exquisite balance. Cherry, blackberry, crushed mineral, licorice, smoke and cedar; powerful and concentrated without being heavy, and still youthful with plenty of room to develop.
100 points — James Suckling
Very tannic and powerful, with currant, spice, wood, stone, mineral and violet. Full-bodied, tight and structured yet dense and bright, with a long finish. Suckling advised at least three or four years in the cellar.
95 points — Wine Spectator
Fresh and effusive, with black currant, cherry, strawberry, cedar and leather. Rich and concentrated, growing more elegant with air, with a long mineral and tobacco finish.
Cult Wines International Notes:
Casanova di Neri was founded by Giovanni Neri in 1971 and is now run by his son Giacomo, who has made it one of the most celebrated names in Montalcino. The estate’s Tenuta Nuova Brunello was named Wine Spectator’s Wine of the Year, and Cerretalto, its single-vineyard flagship from a steep, amphitheatre-shaped slope above the Asso river, is made only in the finest vintages.
The 2010 Cerretalto is 100% Sangiovese from one of the greatest Montalcino vintages in memory, and it earned perfect scores from both Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate and James Suckling. Cherry, blackberry, currant, violet, crushed mineral, licorice, smoke and cedar sit on a powerful, concentrated frame with dense, fine tannins and a very long finish. This is a fully sealed original three-bottle case.
