Accepted bottles are preserved in our climate-controlled cellar until they reach your doorstep. We have no storefront and no walk-in traffic, so nothing is moved or handled between inspection and shipping.

Parker describes “a beautiful ripe, plump, fat and opulent style of Cabernet Sauvignon”: dense purple, loaded with blackberry and blackcurrant fruit, low in acidity with little evident oak, and naturally 14.9% alcohol. He finds it irresistible and suggests drinking it over the next decade or more.

Caymus was founded in 1972 by Charlie and Lorna Wagner and their son Chuck, whose family had farmed in Rutherford since the early 1900s. Its Special Selection is the only wine named Wine Spectator Wine of the Year twice, and the Napa Valley Cabernet has become one of the most recognised American red wines, prized for its ripe, generous, velvety style.
The Napa Valley Cabernet blends fruit from across many of the valley’s sub-appellations, picked late for extended hang time. 2013 was an outstanding Napa vintage, and this bottling shows dense blackberry, blackcurrant, mocha and vanilla over plush, supple tannins. This listing is the less common 1-liter bottle.
