Accepted bottles are preserved in our climate-controlled cellar until they reach your doorstep. We have no storefront and no walk-in traffic, so nothing is moved or handled between inspection and shipping.

A Historic First: Iranian Wine Returns
Iran is, by all recorded accounts…the birthplace of wine! However after the Iranian Revolution in the late 1970’s all wine production in Iran was banned. This is because after the revolution, Iran became an Islamic republic, and in Islam, wine is considered haram, or forbidden. The Quran says that alcohol is harmful to health, can lead to addiction, and disrupts society.
For wine enthusiasts, the idea of “Iranian wine” has likely never graced a label. Until now. Molana shatters this notion, becoming the first commercially produced wine from Iranian grapes in over four decades. With only 15,000 bottles available, securing one is a collector’s dream.
As documented in the acclaimed film documentary: SOMM: Cup of Salvation (link: https://mag.sommtv.com/2023/10/somm-cup-of-salvation-wines/), Armenian winemaker Vahe embarked on a journey to source illegally smuggle Rasheh grapes from Iran, believed to be an ancient grape variety. Collaborating with his network, he explored vineyards in the Caucasus Mountains before transporting the chosen grapes back to Armenia for vinification at his custom crush facility.
This wine is truly unique and one which will likely soar in value and be impossible to ascertain in the coming years.
