Ratings & Tasting Notes:

98 points — James Suckling, July 2023
Mineral, stone and steel. Dried flowers, with lots of dried fruits such as peach and apricot. So much intense fruit character, wild flavours and complexity — “a real pastry shop in the glass.” Full but not heavy, with wonderful, exotic flavours.

97 points — James Halliday, June 2021
The challenging botrytis vintage may have reduced the usual massive production, using only the best fruit harvested with military precision, then eight years on tirage. A complex and expressive bouquet opens to a palate running from quince to honey around a core of stone fruit, with a penetrating finish. Awarded Gold.

96 points — Wine Enthusiast, December 2020
This iconic Champagne shows its richness to perfection. Floral aromas lead to a wine of weight and density, with a balance encompassing ripe fruits now matured to reveal nuttiness, toast and a tight salinity at the close.

96 points — Wine Spectator, November 2020
A graceful Champagne, with fragrant toasted brioche and grilled nut more subtle on the palate, over a rich underpinning layered with a pure chime of tangerine and accents of candied ginger, toasted saffron and lime blossom. A great deal of concentrated flavour bundled into a lithe frame, the fine mousse caressing the palate through to a lasting finish. Collectible.

Cult Wines International Notes:

Dom Pérignon takes its name from the Benedictine monk who served as cellarer at the Abbey of Hautvillers from 1668, and who spent the rest of his life pursuing what he called the best wine in the world. The modern cuvée follows one rule above all: it is made only from a single harvest, never blended across years, and only in vintages the house judges worthy. This limited edition marks the meeting of two creative forces, the house and Lady Gaga, with the label and coffret designed alongside Nicola Formichetti. The iridescent, rippling surface shifts as it catches the light, a visual ode to creativity and a celebration of those who push boundaries.

Declaring 2010 was a genuine gamble. Two months’ worth of rain fell across two days in mid-August, bringing botrytis and rot, and much of the crop was lost across the region. Dom Pérignon became the first major house to release a 2010 after finding that the surviving grapes had held onto a rare level of acidity as they ripened. What came of it, harvested with military precision and left eight years on tirage, is a wine chef de cave Vincent Chaperon calls vigorous yet graceful. Expect green mango, melon and pineapple giving way to orange zest and mandarin, with peony, jasmine and lilac, then toasted brioche, grilled nut, candied ginger and saffron. Full and ample on the palate, generous and firm, closing on spice, pepper and a tight salinity.
