Tasting Notes:
Founded in 1857 by the Bertani brothers, this renowned winery crafts a Recioto that’s aged like the world’s most enduring wines. Similar to Amarone, their Recioto uses grapes dried on mats in special buildings to concentrate their flavors. But unlike Amarone, fermentation is stopped early, leaving a touch of sweetness. The result? A wine reminiscent of a fine port, but smoother on the palate with less alcohol and bursting with aromas of fruitcake and raisins. It also pairs beautifully with aged and blue cheeses.
