Saran is a still white wine that was only made during the 1970s.  The wine is exclusively from Chardonnays from the Saran vineyard (on the famous terroirs of Cramant and Chouilly). This vineyard produces wines of great distinction with marked typicity and particularly developed fruit. To maintain the quality of Saran, Moët oenologists blend wines exclusively from vintage years. Vinified as a “base” wine, it is aged on the lees and then bottled. Its production is very limited, because a fraction of its production is reserved for the blending of the Dom Pérignon cuvée!
