Tasting Notes:
Founded in 1827 by Georges H. Mumm, the House of GH Mumm was among the first to acquire prestigious grand cru vineyards, starting with Verzenay in 1840. In 1875, the House introduced the red sash, a tribute to the Légion d’Honneur, on its flagship champagne, recognizing its distinguished clientele. This distinctive mark has since become synonymous with GH Mumm Cordon Rouge, one of the world’s most celebrated champagnes.
Characterized by a significant proportion of Pinot Noir, GH Mumm offers a vibrant, golden champagne. Its lively effervescence precedes a delicate bouquet of lemon, grapefruit, white peach, and apricot. The palate is graced with a long, lingering finish, revealing notes of vanilla, honey, and caramel.
