Unfortunately the vintage date label fell off of this bottle, and we do not know which vintage it is. Good news for you, as you can get an awesome wine at a great price.
One tell-tale sign is the UPC barcode which is on the back of the label. These barcodes were not added until the early 1990’s. If I had to guess it would be a 1994-1998 bottle, but that’s just a guess!
You will know for sure only when you pull the cork and read the vintage date on the cork.
The prices of Beaucastel in the 1990’s up to 2007 ranges from $115 (1993) to $284 per bottle. (Wine-searcher averages)
So we marked this bottle at the very bottom $115.00
So if you open the bottle and it’s a 1993, you’ve broken even. If it’s any other vintage than that, you got a bargain!
Stored on its side in a climate controlled cellar since purchase.
