Ratings & Tasting notes:

95-97 points Vinous

The 2019 Vosne-Romanée Aux Malconsorts 1er Cru has a more savory bouquet than the Les Beaux Monts, the whole bunch less integrated by direct comparison and yet it also delivers more terroir expression and mineralité. Touches of cracked black pepper and sage lend complexity to the dark berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity, very harmonious with white pepper and clove, a lovely grainy texture and perhaps more refinement compared to the Echézeaux. The kind of Vosne-Romanée that you want to elope with. (NM) (12/2020)

This spectacular holding of 1.57ha has been in the family since 2005 and never fails to impress. One portion of the vineyard actually extends into Les Gaudichots, better known today as La Tâche. After a mostly whole cluster fermentation and some time in cask, the 2019 delivers intensely ripe blackberry fruit, with hints of spice and smoke, plus a dense texture that showcases firm but supple tannins and a savoury, saline finish. This superb wine goes from strength to strength. Drinking Window 2024 – 2049. (CC) (10/2020)

93-95 points Wine Advocate

Wafting from the glass with aromas of blackberries, wild plums, orange rind, exotic spices and peonies, the 2019 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Malconsorts is medium to full-bodied, velvety and elegantly muscular, with fine concentration and mid-palate amplitude, lively acids and ripe, powdery tannins. This is another fine success chez Dujac this year. (WK) (1/2021)
