Ratings & Tasting Notes:
99 points Jeb Dunnuck
Lots of blueberry and cassis fruit as well as complex notes of white flowers and violets emerge from the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard, and it’s just about pure perfection, with full-bodied richness, elegant tannins, and the purity of fruit and freshness that’s the hallmark of this great vintage. 96 points Wine Advocate
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard was aged for 19 months in French oak barrels, 100% new. Deep garnet-purple colored, it leaps from the glass with vibrant scents of black cherries, boysenberries and cassis followed by suggestions of menthol, licorice and tobacco leaf. Medium-full, firm, fine-grained and lively with great intensity and loads of mineral sparks, it finishes with great purity. (LPB) 96+ (2/2021)
96 points Vinous
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard is a blend taken from the front blocks on the property, those that touch the Silverado Trail. It is a classic Bevan wine built on textural opulence and richness. Dark fruit, chocolate, licorice and new leather are some of the many aromas and flavors that build as this flamboyant Cabernet shows off its considerable charms. (AG) (1/2021)
