Ratings & Tasting Notes:

The aromas of pear, lemon and flowers are so attractive. Full body, lots of fruit and a dense palate. Layered and delicious. One of the most powerful L’Apres-Midi ever. (5/2017)

Sir Peter Michael’s winery makes a whole range of excellent wines, but this high-altitude Sauvignon Blanc is one of California’s finest. Oak aged in classic Bordeaux style, it exudes ripe tropical guava, passion fruit and papaya, the oak bringing a smoky, gunflint note to crisp acidity and white floral finish. (RS) (7/2018)
94 points Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
Two terrific whites that Peter Michael should get more recognition for are the Sauvignon Blanc L’Après-Midi and the equal-parts Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon called Coeur à Coeur. The 2015 Sauvignon Blanc L’Apres-Midi, which is 88% Sauvignon Blanc and 12% Semillon is certainly one of California’s most exciting Sauvignons, with a texture of Chardonnay and exotic mango, honeysuckle, ripe melon and wet-rock scented fragrance, medium to full body, and striking precision and vibrancy. This is a terrific wine, as it has been in almost every vintage they have produced. (RP) (10/2016)
