Ratings & Tasting notes:
93 points Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar
(with 1% petit verdot): Good medium ruby. Sexy aromas and flavors of cassis, blackberry, graphite and bitter chocolate, complicated by menthol and sexy oak tones. Lush on entry, then silky and full without coming across as weighty; the best-balanced and most complete of these vineyard-designated cabernets. Finishes very long and youthful, with fine-grained tannins. I’d hold this for six or seven years before pulling the cork. (ST) (5/2012)

The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Bancroft Ranch shows lovely inner perfume in its notes of mint, crushed rose petals and sweet red berries. The Bancroft boasts lovely finesse and plenty of detail to match its polished, refined personality. This is another intense, beautifully delineated Cabernet. (AG) 12/2011)
