According to the producer: This wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon which is grown in four separate blocks of Vine Hill Ranch in Oakville, each block is planted with different clones of Cabernet Sauvignon. Fruit is hand-harvested, fermented, and aged separately prior to aging. Aged for twenty two months in partially new French oak barrels in total prior to bottling, the 2008 “Vinehill” leads with a wild bouquet of blackberry, rose petal, cassis, warm earth, and smokey spice with hints of graphite. The palate is rich and full, with layers of fruit, earth, and sweet and savory spices folding into one another. Firm, well-delineated tannins frame the wine and leave a lasting impression on the finish. Enjoy young with decanting or cellar for up to a decade to allow the wine to gain further complexity in bottle.
Stored on it’s side in a climate controlled cellar since purchase.
