A rich, creamy, toast- and caramel- flavored wine. There are impressive layers of complexity here from the apples and cream taste to the ripe acidity. Swathes of perfumed grapefruit and green fruits waft over this rich wine.

The Jean Milan Terres de Noël is a specialized Blanc de Blancs from a highly regarded grower-producer (a family-owned R.M. house since 1864) in the heart of the Côte des Blancs. This single-parcel cuvée is sourced exclusively from the Milan family’s ancient Chardonnay vines (often approx. 70 years old) in the Grand Cru village of Oger. Its name, “Terres de Noël” (Lands of Christmas), refers to the chalky topsoil that often looks like a blanket of snow. This Champagne is a brilliant, powerful, and precise expression of the Oger terroir, combining richness with intense minerality.

Blend: 100% Chardonnay.

Winemaking: Crafted with a focus on purity, the wine is aged for an extended period (around 40 months sur lattes or more) to develop tertiary complexity. Depending on the vintage, some editions may undergo malolactic fermentation.

Aroma & Taste: Presents with bright golden color and fine bubbles. The bouquet is complex, revealing notes of brioche, almond, ripe citrus (lemon parfait, grapefruit), and white fruit (pear, apple). The palate is driven by a thrilling, racy acidity and a pronounced chalky mineral core, leading to an extremely long, clean, and elegant finish.

Style: Strikingly pure, precise, and built for significant cellar aging, showcasing the depth and power inherent to Oger Chardonnay.

Pairing: Excellent with fresh seafood, fish pie, or Swiss dishes like Soufflé Suissesse.
