1993 Dom Perignon Brut Champagne, France [RP-93pts, Listing 3 of 3]

Tasting Notes:

93 points Jasper Morris

Not a classical Champagne vintage, but many felt pressured to release a vintage wine (1990 was a distant memory). A charming, early maturing vintage, a recent bottle still hanging on with gently honeyed Pinot fruit to the fore.  (2/2023)

91-93 points Wine Advocate

A divine creamy, almost yeasty nose with a touch of walnut. Very fine nervosite on the palate, vibrant, citrus acidity. Steel on the mid-palate. Elegant but powerful. I doubt it will last as long as other vintages but for now this is a delicious champagne to celebrate with. (NM)  (11/2004)

92 points Wine Enthusiast

An intense, complex nose of toast, yeast, earth, brine and mushroom opens this luxury cuvée. Medium-full and soft, by Dom Perignon standards, the palate offers subtle, light green herbs, sweet citrus and honey flavors. Lemon and lime predominate on the long, smooth finish. Classy stuff, if not possessed of the reserve or spine of the top vintages. Fortunately, that actually means it drinks better now than most Dom of comparable age.  (12/2001)

91 points Int’l Wine Cellar

Understated, pure aromas of musky stone, orange, smoke and truffle. Full, ripe and harmonious; not a huge or superconcentrated wine but quite subtle and fine, with brisk, juicy flavors of orange and minerals. Lingering, ripe finish. (ST)  (11/2001)
