Ratings & Tasting Notes:

This wine is the estate’s top cuvée named in honor of Count Thibaud IV, King of Navarre who ruled from 1222 to 1253, and whose seal adorns every bottle of Taittinger. Generally 70% Pinot Noir from Montagne de Reims and 30% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs, the fruit is 100% grand cru. William Kelly for Wine Advocate notes, “Comtes is one of the most reliably age-worthy wines in Champagne, yet it continues to represent terrific value when compared to—frequently inferior—tête de cuvée bottlings from other Grandes Marques.”
