Tasting Notes:

This is a collection of 3 bottles of Dom Perignon Brut. All are late disgorged.

Here are tasting notes from the 3 included vintages:

1964 Dom Perignon Brut:

96 points Vinous

The 1964 Dom Pérignon (magnum, believed to be a 1970s release) was served later in the evening, after the first five 1964 Dom Pérignons. In many ways, the best was saved for last, as this profound Champagne delivered an incredible drinking experience. Hazelnuts, dried apricots and spices lingered on the eternal finish. (AG) (1/2010)

1973 Dom Perignon Brut:

97 points Vinous

One of the highlights of the evening, the 1973 Dom Pérignon Œnothèque (Disgorged 2010) is vivid and finely sculpted. There is plenty of nuance, depth and freshness in the glass, but it is the wine’s staying power and overall persistence that stand out most, especially as the evening wears on. In this flight, the 1973 Œno is a Champagne of total finesse. It is another stellar Œnothèque and the best wine in the flight of 1973s. (AG) (11/2017)

1980 Dom Perignon Brut:

94 points Wine Spectator

Really lives up to its reputation; rich and toasty like the Doms of old. Dry and full-bodied, pale gold in color, with fine, slow bubbles, smelling of fresh bread dough and toast. Highly extracted, lemony, toasty, smooth, elegant, clean and crisp, with very good acidity and balance. Long finish. *Spectator Selection* (9/1986)
